A 220-KM TREK
To commemorate the centenary of Prince Albert I of Monaco’s death, Venturi President Gildo Pastor has entrusted one of his team members with a mission: to follow in the footsteps of H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s great-great-grandfather.
So, Xavier Chevrin will ski 220 kilometres across Spitsbergen, a Norwegian island in the Svalbard archipelago which Prince Albert I explored in the early 1900s.
Expedition itinerary
The itinerary chosen by the team will pass through untrodden areas that have never been explored across the Spitsbergen. This mission is the latest in Venturi’s epic series of attempts to achieve world firsts. On behalf of Venturi, Xavier Chevrin will aim to complete a single trek between the four points mapped from the sea by Prince Albert I.
